I have a background of 10+ years in learning design, course development, and facilitation across technical and soft skills topics, in onsite, virtual, and hybrid delivery for more than 400 beneficiaries.
I believe in the individual and collective benefits of an educated mind and spirit, and I strive to promote learning and growth in all my professional endeavours.
All of us have valuable information and experiences to share — in any format: visual, audio, as a story, through graphics or movement. Every content format has a sequence of meaning embedded within it, in order to make it purposeful for those on the receiving end. Not all of us, however, have the practice of logic and critical thinking needed to bring clarity, structure, and purpose to the knowledge that lives in a latent format in our minds and experience. That is where I come in.
All of us are authors with a story to tell — and that story is the element I try to uncover at the start of every collaboration. Any topic, technical or soft, can be presented from a unique perspective, because every author has a unique relationship with their subject. It is this individuality that I want to feel present in the final course we design together, which is why I believe the underlying narrative matters.
That creative instinct is always grounded in a structured design process — from learner analysis and outcome mapping, through content architecture and modality decisions, to build, assessment, and evaluation. The story gives the course its soul. The process gives it its spine.
Authenticity and purpose are essential for learning to happen, because they enable learners to recognise the alignment between what is offered and what they actually need.
